Kleitia Zeqo is a Senior Consultant at Technopolis, conducting research and project management in the fields of research and innovation policy, and labour markets. In her six years of consultancy experience, Kleitia has conducted numerous studies and projects on behalf of various European Commission Directorate-Generals and agencies, such as DG RTD, DG EAC, EASME, DG CONNECT as well as the OECD. Her interest and experience include policy development and impact assessments in various fields, such as knowledge ecosystems, research and innovation collaboration, digitalisation, (inclusive) entrepreneurship, start-ups, access to finance (crowdfunding), and SME-policy.
In the past years, as part of the International Service Facility project on the Research and Innovation Ecosystem in the Western Balkans, Kleitia has been closely following the European Research Area developments as well as monitoring the alignment of candidate member states to the ERA priorities. In addition, she is currently conducting a study on the Knowledge ecosystems in the new ERA and is responsible for the development of the ERA Hub concept. Kleitia has also worked on R&I developments outside Europe. She was involved in the evaluation Fostering Innovation through Research, Science and Technology (FIRST) programme of Vietnam and is currently looking into R&I cooperation opportunities between EU and Australia and New Zealand as well as creating STI links between EU and Japan.
As part of a H2020 project on impact of digital technologies on labour Markets (PILLARS), in the coming three years Kleitia will be working together with policy makers, academics, industry associations and NGOs to promote inclusive labour policies across Europe.
Kleitia has expertise in a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methods such as focus groups, workshops, stakeholder interviews, surveys and data-analysis. She is an experienced project manager and work package leader in international projects, has experience with community building and has written numerous reports.
Prior to joining Technopolis Group, Kleitia worked as a consultant at IDEA Consult in Brussels. She also completed the Policy Officer Traineeship at the European Commission, working with the SME and Financial Instrument Unit of DG RTD on fostering access to finance for innovation.
Kleitia is a Master of Science graduate from London School of Economics (UK) in European Politics and Governance but also studied in Belgium, Italy, Netherlands and Albania. She is fluent in English, Italian, Albanian, and has a basic understanding of Dutch and Spanish.
