Flash floods, wildfires, heatwaves… These recent events are a testimony of the urgency of climate action.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has just released the first instalment to its Sixth Assessment Report. These reports are the most advanced consensus on the state of climate science, and are set to guide adaptation and mitigation priorities. The assessment focused on the current state of the climate, how human influence is changing it, and possible global pathways for the future. While the conclusions of the report are not surprising, the report issues a stark warning over the urgency of climate action.
