The project, commissioned by the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy, addressed challenges in the vocational educational and training system in Germany. Currently, the labour market for young adults is in relatively good shape, but at the same time more and more adolescents are unable to find vocational training positions. Possible solutions include support measures to increase inter-regional mobility and the flexibility of apprentices. Technopolis Group has developed an action plan with regional stakeholders and companies, as well as pupils and parents. Proposals include a wide range of measures such as mentoring schemes, raising awareness or housing provision.
