Roger Konan is a student at the University Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne in Paris who has joined Technopolis Africa based in Côte d’Ivoire as an intern analyst in the evaluation of development and innovation public policies. He is highly interested in public policies, policy and program evaluation, as well as data analysis and project management. His education has equipped him with significant methodological skills in evaluating development public policies.

Before joining Technopolis Africa, Roger participated in several academic projects at his university, the most impactful of which was responding to a call for tender for an environmental public policy evaluation project. This project involved developing an evaluation plan for the preservation and restoration of wetlands in the Loire 3 plan according to the specifications proposed by the Loire Bretagne Water Agency.

Additionally, Roger also wrote a thesis in which he analysed the impact of education and health expenditures, as well as health and education policies, on poverty reduction in Côte d’Ivoire. These various projects triggered his interest in public policy evaluation.

Roger is committed and passionate about sustainable development, convinced of the importance of adopting eco-friendly practices and behaviours for a better Africa. He holds a master’s degree in Development Economics from Alassane Ouattara University in Bouaké, Côte d’Ivoire, and is about to graduate with a master’s degree in Economic Expertise of Development Policies and Projects from the University Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne in Paris, France. He works fluently in French and also in English.
