Laura Melissa is currently an intern at Technopolis Bogotá. She is a senior student in Economics at Universidad Nacional de Colombia. With a focus on research and quantitative skills, she specializes in data collection, analysis, and econometric modeling. Her interests span economic development, innovation, gender, and public policy.
Prior to her internship, Laura gained valuable experience as a former student assistant in the Innovation, Knowledge Transfer, and Entrepreneurship program at Universidad Nacional de Colombia. She also interned at the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit of Colombia in the Macroeconomic Policy Department. In the last semester of 2023, Laura served as a Research Scholar at Purdue University in the United States, where her research focused on the Economics of Innovation and Technology-Based Enterprises.
She is fluent in Spanish and English and has a professional command of French.
