Mårten Viberg works as analyst at Technopolis Group’s subsidiary in Sweden. He specialises in public policy, long-term economic development and innovation. He has applied these skills both in political organisations as well as in an academic research setting. Mårten has produced and contributed to qualitative and quantitative studies, political campaigns, briefings, academic reports and literature reviews.
Before joining Technopolis Group, Mårten worked as International research assistant at the Liberal Democrats’ International Office in London. Previously, he worked as research assistant and project secretary for various research projects at the universities of Lund and Örebro. These research projects involved pilot studies for larger projects, study design, qualitative analysis, data collection and quantitative/statistical analysis.
Through his ties to the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, he attended renowned trainee programmes for policymaking arranged by their thinktank Timbro, and he has worked as freelance writer and researcher for its journal.
Mårten holds a master’s degree in Economic History from Lund University with a special focus on innovation, regional development and education/human capital. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics, also from Lund University.
Swedish is his native language but speaks and writes in English at a near native level. He also works in Norwegian and Danish.
