Eva Wölbert has extensive experience in the health and life sciences sector with a recent particular focus on the area of mental health. She has good knowledge of ‘big data’ and has applied successfully a range of methods such as research portfolio analysis, statistical analysis, counterfactual methods, experimental designs as well as literature review and desk research.
Eva has recently led a comprehensive analysis of research funding in the area of mental health, and is now advising the International Alliance of Mental Health Research Funders on applying the developed methodology on a global scale.
Prior to joining Technopolis Group, Eva worked for the UK-based charity MQ: Transforming mental health. During this time, she led on the charity’s research funding, facilitation and policy work in the area of data science. She also conducted a national funding analysis using the Dimensions database. Previously Eva worked at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre conducting applied behavioural research and providing scientific advice and support to DG SANTE.
Eva obtained her diploma in Psychology from Trier University in Germany, and her PhD in Neuroeconomics from Maastricht University. She is fluent in German and English and has good knowledge of Dutch and Italian.
