Alessandro Sica joined Technopolis Group as a Senior Consultant in October 2022.

Alessandro has developed expertise in the analysis of public policies (especially in the fields of innovation and science, home affairs and justice). He has contributed to the design, implementation and delivery of evaluation, impact assessments and studies for European and national public bodies. He has successfully applied a range of methods such as literature reviews, focus groups, workshops, stakeholder interviews, surveys, case studies, and developed a rigorous, independent, and evidence-based approach.

Recently Alessandro has contributed to several studies and evaluations for research councils, funding bodies and government departments in the UK, including BEIS, UKRI and the EPSRC. He was involved in the development of the monitoring and evaluation frameworks for Sizewell C and the Earth Observation Transitional Programme. He also participated in the evaluation of the Prosperity Partnerships programme, the Fund for International Collaboration, and the Online Marketplaces product safety programme.

Prior to joining Technopolis Group, Alessandro worked at EY in the Policy Advisory Team in Italy. During this time, he contributed to evaluation and impact assessment studies for the European Commission (DG HOME, DG JUST) and national institutions (Italian Ministry of Agriculture). Previously he completed internships in the European Parliament and in the public affairs consultancy Weber Shandwick.

Alessandro obtained his Bachelors’ Degree in Political Science from Università Cattolica in Milan. He obtained a Masters’ Degree in European Affairs from Sciences Po Paris. He is an Italian native speaker, fluent in English and with a good command of French.
