Fleur is a consultant at the Belgian office of Technopolis Group. She is part of the Open Science team and predominantly works on the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Future project. She has developed a strong interest in the interface of science and policy, participating in and organising courses related to science diplomacy and science advocacy.

Before joining Technopolis Group, Fleur gained experience in science policy and science advice as a Blue Book Trainee at the European Commission. She supported the work of the Group of Chief Scientific Advisors among others to promote the role of evidence in policy-making, focusing on the need for a more interdisciplinary approach and to strengthen the connections between European academies and the Commission.

Fleur has an academic background in biological sciences. She studied fly development and genetics during her Postdoc at the New York University. Before that, she obtained a doctorate in Behavioral Physiology from the Humboldt University Berlin, conducting annual field experiments in Tunisia related to ant navigation. Fleur is fluent in German (native), English, and Spanish, and has basic knowledge of French.
