Carlijn Schumacher is analyst at Technopolis Group and is based in the Amsterdam office. She has a background and particular interest in environmental economics, economic behaviour and policy, and tourism. She has strong analytical skills and is trained in a range of qualitative and quantitative methods, such as literature reviews, statistical analyses, case studies and interviews.

Carlijn has mainly been involved in projects at the national level, predominantly in the domain of Green Economy and Entrepreneurship, SMEs, and Industry. Prior to joining Technopolis Group, she worked as commercial manager on upcycling food residue streams.

Carlijn obtained her undergraduate diploma BSc Tourism from the Wageningen University & Research in the Netherlands. During this bachelor, she specialised in Environmental Economics at Ryerson University, Toronto. Carlijn obtained the master’s degree MSc Economic Behaviour & Policy from Radboud University which provides her with an interdisciplinary approach to policy. She is fluent in both English and Dutch.
