Fabian Waiblinger is an analyst in the Berlin office of Technopolis Group. Currently, he contributes to the evaluation of the German Internet Institute and a study on copyright  for the European Commission. In addition, he works in the National Office of the “Business Initiative Smart Living” operated by Technopolis Group in Berlin, on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.

Through his initial working experience, Fabian has developed expertise in public policy advisory. He is well-trained in writing position papers, impact assessments, and opinion pieces for European and national public bodies. He has succesfully applied a range of methods such as statistical analysis, case studies, literature reviews, interviews, surveys and benchmarking studies.

Prior to joining Technopolis Group, Fabian worked in the foreign representation office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Washington D.C., where he was involved in organising transatlantic dialogue programs and their implementation. Before, he made an internship as public sector advisor for KPMG. During this time, he worked on a digitialisation project for a national public body. Previously, he interned in the European Parliament and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy in the department for European politics. 

Fabian holds a M.Sc. in Political Economy of Europe from London Schoool of Economics and Political Science and a B.Sc. in Economics from the Free University Berlin. During the Bachelor’s programme he spent an exchange semester at the Athens University of Economics and Business in Greece. He is fluent in German, English and has knowledge of French.
