Anastasiia Konstantynova has over 10 years’ experience in science, research and innovation, particularly in the field of regional industrial and cluster development. She has worked as a leading expert and project manager with and at numerous businesses, public sector institutions and research entiries in Europe and beyond. Her work is driven by having an impact in critical territorial development issues by means of clusters, trade facilitation and technology transfer. She has a strong methodologic background in such qualitative and quantitative research methods as network analysis, interviews, surveys, case studies, statistical analysis and benchmarking studies.
Recently Anastasiia has contributed to several studies and evaluations on European R&D and innovation support programmes. She was involved in the “Regional Innovation Monitor” on-line information platform (RIM) recently launched by DG Enterprise and Industry. She also participated in DG Education and Culture’s study on doctoral studies systems in EU neighbouring countries. At the national level, she contributed to the impact assessment of the 6th and 7th Framework Programme on the French research system and to the evaluation of the French Environmental Ministry’s coastline research support programme.
Prior to joining Technopolis Group, Anastasiia worked both in industry and research. From industry side, as a consultant at Lufthansa Systems she accompanied several internal and external clients on their airline IT transformation journey. As a project manager at Steinbeis 2i GmbH and ClusterAgentur Baden-Württemberg she supported clusters, research centres and SMEs in their technology transfer by means of e.g., capacity building, strategy setting, matchmaking and/or value chain mapping. Policy-wise, she was responsible for acquisition, design and implementation of large-scale projects for various regional, national and international policy and decision-making organizations, like UNIDO, European Commission, GIZ etc. In her research at Orkestra – Basque Institute of Competitiveness (Spain) she supported local decision makers in evidence base territorial development by means of analytical advice and training e.g. assessing cluster policies and smart specialisation strategies in the Basque and other European countries.
Anastasiia obtained her Bachelor’s in international economy at Kyiv National Economic University (Ukraine). She has then graduated with Master’s in International Relations from Catholic University Eichstaett-Ingolstadt (Germany). At the same institution she has succesfully defended her doctoral thesis (magna cum laude) focusing on the evaluation of regional economic development and cluster policies – case study of the Basque Country and Upper Austria.
Originally from Ukraine she is native in Ukrainian and Russian, but fluent in English, German, Spanish, and has some basic understanding in Dutch and Polish.
