Dan Cook is a senior consultant with experience in strategic decision-making analysis in the energy sector. He has a background and capability in techno-economic modelling, wider energy economics market analysis and energy policy issues and recent experience in evaluation of energy-sector programmes. He has experience in developing strategic investment plans for power and energy generation and developing quantitative methods for analysing strategic investments in the energy sector. He has a keen interest in the green economy, including decarbonisation, renewable energy industry, and innovative grid edge solutions.
He recently worked on analysis for an Impact Assessment study of Circular Economy for the EPSRC, and a Process Evaluation for the Innovate UK’s Sector Foundations competition calls.
Prior to joining Technopolis Group in February 2019, Dan worked for engineering consultancies Mott MacDonald and WSP (previously Parsons Brinckerhoff) where he developed his skills and experiences in energy market analysis, energy policy advice, energy economics and quantitative approaches to techno-economic modelling.
Dan obtained his undergraduate degree in Economics from Durham University. He is a native English speaker.
