Theresa Witt works as consultant in the Berlin office of the Technopolis Group. She is experienced in diverse research methods including both quantitative as well as qualitative data analysis. This includes conducting multivariate statistical analyses, online surveys, case studies, literature reviews, interviews and focus groups, amongst others.
Theresa works on national and international projects primarily in the areas of international collaboration in research, education and innovation, and green economy. Relevant national projects include, for example, the evaluation of the Internationalisation Strategy for Education, Research and Science of the German Federal Government, a study on the potential of research and innovation cooperation of Germany with Latin America, and an accompanying study for the DAAD programme ‘University-Business-Partnerships’. For the GIZ, she is currently working on a corporate strategy evaluation on GIZ’s cooperation with academia. In addition, Theresa worked on various projects on municipal greenhouse gas balancing. At the European level, Theresa supported a network of African and European technology hubs in the Africa-Europe Innovation Partnership of the European Commission and a related network between European and Sri Lankan incubators and accelerators.
Before joining Technopolis, Theresa consulted the United Nations Office for Project Services in Dakar (Senegal) in the field of project development in francophone West Africa. She also worked as a research assistant at the Arnold-Bergstraesser-Institut in Freiburg and for the Chair of International Politics at the University of Konstanz.
Theresa holds a dual master’s degree in Politics and Public Administration from the University of Konstanz as well as in Political Science Research from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona). She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the University of Freiburg, majoring in Governance. During her Bacherlor’s, she spent one year at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor (USA). Theresa speaks German, English and French and has knowledge of Spanish.
