Ivette Oomens
Principal Consultant
Ivette Oomens MSc is a principal consultant at Technopolis Group in Amsterdam with a focus on projects around digitalisation, science and innovation strategy and policy. She has experience with evaluations, impact assessments and strategy support in particular and is familiar with a large number of research methods, including desk study, interviews, surveys, case studies, focus groups and workshops. Next to her role as principal consultant, Ivette is also part of the Management Team of Technopolis BV in Amsterdam and acts as People Manager.
Ivette is an experienced project manager. Her portfolio consists of regional, national and international projects for a range of clients. At regional and national level she among others supported the drafting of a new Knowledge and Innovation Agenda for Digitalisation (2024-2027) in the Netherlands, setting up a cyber resilient ecosystem in the city of Breda and she conducted the evaluation of the Dutch Applied Research Organisations (TO2 institutes). International projects Ivette worked on include among others the evaluation of the Flemish Policy Plans for Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity, a study on Digitalisation and Trade in Africa (African Development Bank), the evaluation of the Horizon Europe Cluster on Digital, Industry and Space, and a study on IP management and technology transfer in Suriname.
Prior to joining Technopolis Group, Ivette worked as a trainee at the European Commission DG CONNECT in Brussels, with a focus on broadband and the socio-economic benefits of high speed internet. She studied a Bachelor Psychology at Maastricht University and a Master Innovation Sciences at Eindhoven Technical University, with a focus on globalisation and ICT. This included a semester at Edinburgh Napier University and an internship at Technopolis Group Amsterdam.
Ivette’s native language is Dutch and she is fluent in English.
