Ivette Oomens MSc joined Technopolis Group Amsterdam in 2016. As a consultant, she works on projects around digitalisation, innovation strategy and policy. She has experience with evaluations, impact assessments and strategy support in particular and is familiar with a large number of research methods, including desk study, interviews, surveys, case studies and workshops.

Examples of studies she recently conducted are the Monitoring of the Digital Transformation and Key Enabling Technologies for EASME, a study on the potential for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Africa for the African Development Bank and she was project leader of a study on the added value of the National High Performance Computing Service in Ireland. She has also provided strategy support to several organisations, including the Suriname Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism on their National IP Strategy.

Prior to joining Technopolis Group, Ivette worked as a trainee at the European Commission DG CONNECT in Brussels, with a focus on broadband and the socio-economic benefits of high speed internet. She studied a Bachelor Psychology at Maastricht University and a Master Innovation Sciences at Eindhoven Technical University, with a focus on globalisation and ICT. This included a semester at Edinburgh Napier University and an internship at Technopolis Group Amsterdam.

Ivette’s native language is Dutch and she is fluent in English.
