Lukas Hohmann
Analyst
Lukas Hohmann is an analyst at the Technopolis office in Berlin. During his studies, he worked at different research and science organisations and gained valuable insights into relevant topics and challenges in national and European science and innovation policy. He is experienced in conducting desk research, surveys and case studies.
In advance to his position at the Technopolis Group, Lukas worked at the European Academies’ Science Advisory Council as well as at the Institute Director’s team of the Fraunhofer Center for International Management and Knowledge Economy IMW. Therefore, he is familar with the mechanisms and the institutional landscape of European evidence-based policy advise and with initiatives and strategies to promote innovation in SMEs. Besides, Lukas contributed to a philosophy project of the University of Jyväskylä in Finland and he was involved in an evaluation project at the Chair for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education at the Zeppelin University during two research internships. Hence, he is particularly interested in international science and research cooperations, European initiatives in research policy, the role of science in managing structural change as well as higher education policy.
Lukas graduated from the University of Leipzig with a master’s degree in Philosophy after finishing his undergraduate studies in the interdisciplinary program Sociology, Politics and Economics at the Zeppelin University. He is fluent in German, advanced in English and he has intermediate knowledge of French.
