Margaux Le Gallou is specialised in European politics and institutions and has developed expertise in environmental and innovation policies. She is particularly interested in the circular economy and marine policy. She is familiar with both qualitative and quantitative methods of policy analysis, such as desk research, interviews, case studies, and surveys. She also works on communication activities and stakeholder platforms.
She is involved in policy studies (thematic studies, evaluations and impact assessments, roadmaps), including, among others, the impact assessment study for a potential institutionalised European Partnership for a Circular bio-based Europe under Horizon Europe (DG Research and Innovation), the Blue Bioeconomy Forum (roadmap drafting and consultation activities) for DG Mare and EASME, the analysis of Circular Economy and Territorial Consequences (ESPON), country reports for the Eco-Innovation Observatory, and the evaluations of the 7th Environment Action Programme and of the Green Week communication activities (DG ENV). In communication activities, beside the Blue Bioeconomy Forum, she co-ordinated content provision for the European Resource Efficiency Knowledge Centre (DG Growth and EASME) and manages Stakeholder Engagement Activities for Eco-innovation (DG Environment).
Prior to joining Technopolis Group, Margaux worked as a trainee at the Delegation of the European Union to the United States, where she analysed and reported on science, technology and innovation policy developments. She also completed an internship at the Aquarium of Nausicaa (France), where she was involved in ocean literacy projects.
Margaux obtained a B.A. in Politics and International relations from the University of Kent (UK). She obtained a Master degree in European Affairs from Sciences Po Lille (France), and a M.A. in European Economic Studies from the College of Europe (Belgium). She is fluent in English and French and has good knowledge of German.
