Marc Blauert works as an analyst in the Berlin office of Technopolis Group in the Green Economy field. He is well-versed in various quantitative and qualitative research methods. This includes conducting descriptive and statistical data analyses, spatial data analyses, and literature research.

Marc is particularly interested in the economic evaluation of policy instruments for climate protection and measures towards a circular economy. In his work, he is currently involved in a project on the development of greenhouse gas emissions in the building sector and also contributes to the reports of the German government’s Council of Experts on Climate Change (Expertenrat für Klimafragen). There he worked on green finance, emissions in the buildings sector, and on a project on the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism. In addition, Marc previously worked for several years in the metals recycling industry where he was particularly involved in the analysis of material flows.

Marc is currently completing his MSc in Environmental and Resource Economics at Humboldt University of Berlin. He also holds a MSc in Accounting and Finance from Lund University (Sweden) and a BA in Business Administration from the Berlin School of Economics and Law. Marc is fluent in German and English.
