Jules van de Meulengraaf

Jules van de Meulengraaf MSc is a Research Analyst at Technopolis Group, based in the Amsterdam office. His focus areas are sustainable development, innovation, emerging markets and green economy. Jules has strong analytical skills and extensive experience in both qualitative research methods and quantitative methods using (econometric) models.
Prior to joining Technopolis Group, Jules worked as a research consultant on a project on economic cooperation and economic complementarity within the Francophonie. In this role, he analysed several industries and advised on how to stimulate economic activities between member countries. Additionally, Jules interned at Impact Institute, a consultancy firm that focuses on impact measurement and valuation. During his time there, he worked on a range of projects for MNEs to map the social and environmental impacts of their global value chains. Additional work experience includes various consultancy and research projects in the Netherlands and China.
Jules obtained his BSc Economics and Business Economics from Maastricht University, where he focused on finance. During his bachelor, he also studied a semester at Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien. Following this, he obtained his Master’s degree in Economics and Strategy in Emerging Markets from Maastricht University and UNU-Merit, specialising in global value chains and innovation in emerging markets. Jules is a native Dutch speaker, is fluent in English, and has intermediate knowledge of French and Spanish and German.
