Anneloes de Ruiter
Senior Consultant
Anneloes de Ruiter MA, is a senior consultant at Technopolis Group, based in Amsterdam. She has a strong methodological background in public policy and programme evaluations. Her focus areas are pharmaceutics and healthcare, and the link between entrepreneurship and education. Currently Anneloes is involved in the four-year programme of the British Department for International Development (DFID) on Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education, Innovation and Research. As part of this project she carries out focus group discussions, high-level interviews and literature studies, both in Europe and in East Asia and Africa. Anneloes’ core skills are data and survey analysis and quantitative impact evaluation methods. She worked for clients such as the Flemish and Dutch government, the European Commission and the World Bank.
Anneloes
worked on the evaluation of COSME for DG GROW where she carried out multiple
interviews with SMEs, cluster organisations and other stakeholders. She has
experience with a variety of methods including statistical data analysis and
impact evaluation techniques but also case studies, interviews and text
analysis. In one of her current projects she carries out a social network
analysis on the basis of publication data to map the integration of researchers
in a virtual cancer institute, Oncode. Recently she worked for Climate-KIC on
assessing the impact of their programmes on transforming and enabling young
people in becoming entrepreneurs in the field of green economy.
Prior
to joining Technopolis, Anneloes worked at the Budapest Institute for Public Policy
where she gained experience in evaluating EU policies on labour economics
across national and institutional settings. She obtained her undergraduate
diploma in Governance, Economics and Development from Leiden University
College, The Hague. Then, she completed her Master’s degree in Public Policy at
Central European University, Budapest. She lived and worked in Swaziland, The
Netherlands, France and Hungary. Anneloes is fluent in English and Dutch and
has a good command of French.
