Innovation by design – How design enables science and technology research to achieve greater impact
This study served a dual purpose: firstly, to conduct a programme evaluation of the Design Council’s support activities for technology transfer in UK universities (short training courses/ seminars for KT staff and continuous support for specific commercialisation projects). Secondly, to provide a wider understanding of the role of design in successful innovation and KT, and the place and significance of design in the national innovation system.
