Simon Zingerle has developed expertise in Science, Technology & Innovation Policy as well as Higher Education and has contributed to evaluations for international, European and national public bodies. Simon has applied both qualitative and quantitative methods, conducting desk research, statistical analyses and data & information visualisation.

Prior to joining Technopolis Group, Simon worked as project assistant at the Vienna Science and Technology Fund (WWTF), where they were involved in studies on R&D units of MNEs in Austria, actors for a Digital Humanism initiative in Vienna, as well as third party funding within Sweden’s higher education sector.

Simon has a background in multimedia art, Sociology and is currently enrolled in the Master’s programme ‘Science–Technology–Society’ at the University of Vienna, finishing their thesis on the construction of democratic citizens in the context of the participatory turn in nuclear waste management in Germany. Simon’s pronouns are they/them and their honorific is Mx.
