Hannah Bernard is a consultant based at the Brussels office of Technopolis Group, where she works on public policy studies related to innovation and digital transformation. She specialises in quantitative research methods and has experience in statistical analyses and computation of indicators, including data treatment and collection methods (surveys, multiple private and public databases, exploration of alternative data sources).
Recently, Hannah has contributed to several data analyses and development of innovation indicators frameworks, at regional and national levels. She was notably in charge of building the composite index for the Eco-Innovation Scoreboard (DG ENV) and for the Advanced Technology for Industry dashboard (DG GROW). She is currently exploring indicators from new data streams for the development of IntelComp – the advanced tool supporting AI-based STI policy-making (DG RTD). She has also contributed to the survey analysis for the Evaluation of the 2014-2020 ERDF operational programme of the Wallonia region (axes 2 and 6). In addition to her work at Technopolis, Hannah is an assistant for the course of Introduction to Microeconomics at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management.
Hannah graduated from the Université Libre de Bruxelles with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in ”European Economic and Political Analysis”. Her master thesis investigated the empirical link between innovation and income inequality. She is Belgian, speaks French and English fluently and has a basic level of Spanish and Dutch.
