At Technopolis, Christiaan works as a Principal Consultant on complex summative and formative policy evaluations at the intersection of Science, Technologies and Life Sciences and Health. With his background in scientific research and accademia, he has contributed to rigourous evaluations, impact assessments and studies for international, European and national public agencies. Christiaan currently also holds a senior research position in Implemention Science at the department Clinical, Neuro-, & Developmental Psychology at the VU Amsterdam. 

Christiaan has extensive knowledge of and experience in interdisciplinary health research, international collaboration and project management, as well as in quantitative and qualitative research methods. With his personal, committed, analytical and critical attitude, Christiaan aims to add value to the goal and mission of the client. 

Christiaan has extensive experience in developing, managing and conducting complex international large-scale multidisciplinary scientific research projects and policy evalautions. Examples include the evalution of the of the Flanders Neuro-Electronics Research Flanders (NERF) research institute. He was successful in initiating and coordinating the large-scale international research project called ImpleMentAll (Horizon 2020) that is aimed at improving the implementation of evidence-based interventions in health care. Christiaan scientifically directed the summative evaluation of 15 eMental health implementation projects across Europe in the MasterMind project (DG Connect, CIP-ICT-PSP). Christiaan co-chaired an international validation committee within the IT4Anxiety project supervising start-ups in mental health care. For the National Health Care Institute (2019), Christiaan conducted a study into methods for eHealth Technology Assessment.  

Previously, Christiaan has worked at the VU Amsterdam as an in-house consultant setting up the internal Grants support office and at PwC-Advisory. Christiaan studied Natural Sciences & Innovation Management at Utrecht University and Applied Ethics at the Ethics Institute. Christiaan fluent in Dutch (mother tongue) and English.
