Robert King has developed expertise in health economics and clinical guideline development. He has contributed to economic evaluations and health policy projects, successfully applying a range of methods such cost effectiveness analysis, network meta-analysis, interviews, desk research, systematic literature reviews and statistical analysis.   

Prior to joining Technopolis Group, Robert worked for the Royal College of Physicians as a health economist. During this time, he helped to publish NICE clinical guidelines for primary joint replacements and heart valve replacements, ensuring the stakeholder committee made cost effective recommendations to save NHS costs whilst maximising patient health outcomes. Specific analyses included a cost-utility analysis of self-monitoring devices for atrial fibrillation, and a network meta-analysis with cost comparison for administration methods of a drug to reduce blood transfusions during surgery. Previously, Robert worked at Visiongain conducting market research reports in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. 

Robert obtained his integrated Master’s in Biological Sciences from University College London. He has also obtained a Master’s degree in Health economics, Policy and Management from the Karolinska Institute, in Stockholm. He is native English and has a basic knowledge of Swedish.
