Karine Lanoix is a principal consultant based in the Paris office of Technopolis Group. She has 20 years of experience in different areas of the economic development, entrepreneurship and attractiveness on a regional, national and European level, as well as from an international perspective.

Karine’s experience is built on studying, defining strategies, providing policy advice and evaluating public policies. Her skillset covers desk research, interviews, focus groups and workshops, case studies, surveys, strategic and prospective analysis, evaluation methodologies (i.e. logical framework approach), build and follow up partnerships, elected members coaching, policy design and recommendations, report writing as well as project and team management.

Notable studies include the implementation of a methodological guide on FESI financial instruments and the dynamisation of the implementation of European ERDF programmes for the period 2014-2020, as well as the definition of a national diagnosis and the main challenges for the new 2021-2027 programming for Thematic Objective 3: “support to SMEs” for ANCT – Agence nationale de la cohésion des territoires (French Government services); an assessment of the Regional Innovation Strategy 2017-2021 and recommendations for the Regional Innovation Strategy 2021-2027 of the Occitanie Region; the assessment of 10 years of Agence Française de Développement (AFD – French development agency) operations in New Caledonia; Impact assessment of “support for reindustrialisation” on the French national territory – Bpifrance (French Public bank); and the analysis of the technological transformation and transition of regional economies, with the objective of developing solid territorial evidence on the technological transformations affecting European regions and proposing new non-conventional development strategies to boost territorial and European competitiveness (for ESPON- European Observation Network for Territorial Development and Cohesion).

Less recently, Karine also assisted different regions (Occitanie, Guadeloupe and Grand Est) for the elaboration of theirs Scheme for the Regional Economic Development, Innovation and Internationalisation (SRDEII).

Prior to joining Technopolis Group, Karine worked seven years for Sofred Consultants in the following focus areas: public policy, competitiveness and development of SMEs, and groups’ transformation projects. Prior to this, she worked for a Local Authority in Paris Region, and for the Invest in France Agency (Business France – French government agency) in Zürich in Switzerland, as a foreign direct investment adviser (promotion of investment projects). She also worked for the French Swiss Chamber of Commerce (also in Zürich, Switzerland).

She is graduated in Law and obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in International Business Relations. She has lived eight years in Germany and three years in Switzerland. She is certified in PRINCE2 Foundation project management (PRojects IN Controlled Environments).

A native French-speaker, Karine is fluent in English and has very advanced knowledge of German.
