Technopolis Group studied the energy transitions of Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France and the United Kingdom on behalf of the Dutch Topsector Energy. The focus on institutional factors in this study emphasised the fact that the foreign policy success of historical choices and cultural aspects in one country could not be replicated in another.  The country studies showed that all countries strike the right balance between affordability, reliability and durability.
