Ana de Jesus
Ana de Jesus has a multidisciplinary academic background, working in the intersection of globalisation studies and economy, with a particular focus in innovation and sustainability. She has been working on conceptual and empirical research at several levels, focusing on technological and economic, but also non-technological, change in social and business culture, using mixed method approaches (quantitative and qualitative) such as literature reviews, bibliometric analysis, content analysis, surveys, interviews, patent and trademark analysis, and foresight techniques, among others.
Ana has a PhD from Nova University Lisbon in Innovation and Circular Economy where she contributed to the theoretical development of the circular economy concept, to the empirical definition of pro-circularity innovation proxies, and to the prospective anticipation of “circular” economy developments, using foresight methodologies.
Prior to joining Technopolis Group, Ana participated in different types of projects such as the H2020 PLACARD project (where she was directly involved in the organisation of events like the 4th edition of the European Climate Change Adaptation conference), a project for the Portuguese Ministry of the Environment (in the development of a knowledge sharing platform dedicated to the Circular Economy Eco.nomia) and in the “Global Sustainable Development Report 2015 for the United Nations.
Ana is a Portuguese native speaker and proficient in English and French. She has basic Spanish skills, is a beginner in German, and is now starting to learn Swedish.
