Veronica Bertacchini works as project assistant for the EOSCsecretariat.eu project (DG RTD, 2019- 2021) by taking care of the administrative and contractual aspects of the wide variety of activities this project entails and that provide support to the governance of the European Opens Science Cloud. From October 2019 to October 2020 Veronica also supported the financial and administrative processes of a 25 Million worth FWC, the INCO Service Facility (2017-2021). In addition to that, she also contributes to the analysis of economic forecasts (DG ECFIN) by reviewing the Italian press coverage and providing support to the reviews of the German-speaking press selection. At the beginning of her experience at Technopolis, she worked from July to September 2019 as Office Manager Assistant at Technopolis Group, managing the day-to-day functioning of the office, supporting the Business Development activities and the contractual part of the single projects.

Prior to joining Technopolis Group, Veronica worked as Coordinator of the Migration and Integration Projects at the International Office of the University of Bamberg (Germany) where she coordinated the admission processes of foreign students and refugees at the university. Subsequently, she acted for one year as Project Officer of the PASCH-Project at the Goethe-Institut in Rabat (Morocco), working alongside the German Embassy for the successful organization and coordination of professional and cultural events for Moroccan students and teachers. Before these work experiences, Veronica could get an insight of the work of International Organizations by completing two internships at the GIZ and the Goethe-Institut, form where she acquired a first-hand knowledge of the functioning of the international cooperation and the development aid in the MENA region.

Veronica holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Languages and Cultures of the Mediterranean and the Middle East (MEDOR) with a specialization on Arabic and Slavic Philology from the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (Italy) and a MA in Arabic and Slavic Studies from the University of Bamberg (Germany), which included several exchange programmes with Algeria, Morocco and the UAE.

She is a native Italian speaker, bilingual in German and fluent in English, French, Arabic, Russian and the Moroccan Berber Language.
