We are looking for a curious and motivated individual interested in the analysis and processing of quantitative data (open and big data) to support consulting activities for the public sector (innovation policies, economic development, international development and environmental transition policies in particular).

The person should have at least a Master’s degree (bac +5) in mathematics, economics, data science/ Machine learning, statistics, or other similar fields. A good knowledge of various open data sources, the collaborative platform Github, database consolidation and processing, web scraping, is desired. The candidate should also have basic skills in statistical analysis and data-visualization; as well as a good knowledge of machine learning, Natural Language Processing Toolkit (NLTK). Knowledge of Python programming techniques is also desirable.

The candidate must be fluent in French and English.


The data scientist will participate in the implementation of various projects, as for instance on innovation measurement based on textual analysis using machine learning. He/she will also participate in other projects and consulting activities of the company, notably in quantitative analyses to be carried out in the framework of policy evaluations, sectoral and technical studies, strategic support and consulting projects for some of our main clients in France (e.g., regions) and at the European/international level, such as the European Commission (DG ENV, CLIMA, ENER, RTD), ADEME, National research Agency, and the bilateral and multilateral development banks (French Agency for Development, African development Bank, EIB). He/she will also be asked to participate in the business development activities of the company (specific methodological contributions to proposals being developed).

The data scientist will be part of the Open & big data group (involving colleagues from the different offices of the group) and will liaise with OPIX, Technopolis group spin-off specialized in AI and big data.
