The recent university mergers in Sweden and Denmark are described and investigated in this study. Good practice, processes, preconditions and problems along the way are covered. In Sweden, the merger that resulted in the Linnaeus University, the merger between the University College Gotland and Uppsala University, and the merger between Stockholm School of Teacher Education and Stockholm University, are included.
