Andrea Grisilla has developed, in the last 10 years, extensive expertise in the management of projects funded by the EU under different financing schemes, especially FP7, CIP, IEE, ERASMUS+ and Horizon2020. Active mainly in the fields of transport, logistics and innovation, he has contributed to the development, for instance, of wide-ranging services platforms, the definition of possible traffic management solutions in urban areas and the delivery of training material for road transport operators. In the 27 projects he has worked for so far, Andrea has guaranteed the coordination of tasks, work and outputs among project partners as well as the legal and financial management of the funded initiatives according to EU rules for grants.
Upon joining Technopolis Group in Brussels, Andrea has been appointed Project Manager and Coordinator for the EOSCSecretariat.eu project, an 11-partner Horizon2020 consortium aiming to provide structured support to the governance of the European Opens Science Cloud. EOSC’s objective is to federate the existing research repositories and to offer 1.7 million European researchers and 70 million professionals in science, technology, the humanities and social sciences a virtual environment with open and seamless services for storage, management, analysis and re-use of research data, across borders and scientific disciplines.
Prior to joining Technopolis Group, Andrea worked for IRU Projects, the Research and Innovation branch of the International Road Transport Union – IRU as Project Officer. Previously he worked at the Supply Network Innovation Centre of Procter&Gamble as Communication Manager and at the European Intermodal Association as Project Manager.
Andrea obtained both his undergraduate diploma and his Master of Science degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from the University of Trieste, in Italy. Italian mother-tongue, he is fluent in English and French and has good knowledge of Spanish and German.
