Willeke van der Varst
Willeke van der Varst is currently a Research Assitant at Technopolis Group Amsterdam and next to this an Artificial Intelligence Master student at Radboud University in Nijmegen. She has skills in programming, data science and performing scientific research, which were obtained during her studies. She also has knowledge about the broad field of Aritificial Intelligence and Chemistry, which she studied before Artificial Intelligence.
Next to working at Technopolis Groep, Willeke is currently in her last year of her Master’s in Artificial Intelligence. She is working on her final thesis project, which is about modelling language acquisition in children. Before starting her Master’s, she completed a Bachelor’s in Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence at Tilburg University. Before this, she also completed a Bachelor’s study in Chemistry at Utrecht University. She already has working experience as a Teaching Assistant for several subjects in the AI Bachelor’s program and as an IT intern at OpenMindedIT in Tilburg.
Both bachelor’s diploma were succesfully obtained and the Chemistry Bachelor also has an Honours-accreditation. Willeke is fluent in Dutch and English, and has basic understanding and speaking skills in both German and Japanese.
