Ross Hudson is a Senior Consultant in Higher Education at Technopolis Group. He has been involved in policy evaluation and research for over 16 years and is specialised in national and international higher education. He has contributed to evaluations, impact assessments and studies for international, European and national public bodies, having lived and worked in the UK, France, the Netherlands and Kenya. This includes research, project management and evaluation. He is experienced in a wide range of methods such as network analysis, interviews, surveys, case studies, desk research, literature reviews, statistical analysis and benchmarking studies.
Prior to joining Technopolis, Ross worked for the International Association of Universities (IAU) and UNESCO in Paris, and the European Association for International Education (EAIE) in Amsterdam. In these roles, he was responsible for evaluating international higher education policy, and undertaking initiatives to develop capacity and knowledge on international HE for a wide range of stakeholders. Previously Ross worked at the University of Brighton, and Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (RUAS), helping both universities to evaluate and improve their international higher education policies and related activities. He also worked for a number of years as a lecturer at both institutions, teaching research and critical thinking skills. Ross also worked for the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE; now the Office for students), leading their evaluation programme on Learning Gain, and for the United Nations in Nairobi, Kenya.
Ross obtained his undergraduate degree in Geography, from Queen Mary University, University of London. He obtained a Master’s degree in International Development, from the University of Sussex.
Ross is a native English speaker and has a good working knowledge of French.
