Consultant - Associate Principal
Tata is a consultant at Technopolis Group, based in Yaoundé (Cameroon), focusing on evaluating policies and strategies in developing and emerging countries. He is experienced in managing and developing new projects and is familiar with methodologies such as interviews, surveys, benchmarks, bibliometrics, interviews and case studies.
Tata has currently worked on the Study to unlock the potentials of the fourth industrial revolution in Africa of the AfBD, including the Cameroon case study and contributing to the triangulation study. At the moment, he is working on the Africa Europe partnership project which seeks to enhance technology and innovation cooperation between Africa and Europe, involved in facilitating linkages and technical assistance to African tech hubs, start ups and fab labs as well as Technology transfer offices and research organisations to those in Europe. He is also involved in the 2020 Evaluation of the INTEREG Europe including carrying out cases studies to illustrate the influence outcomes and territorial outcomes of some INTEREG projects. He has also been involved in the Evaluation of the causes of Defaults of SMEs in Africa, case of the ARIZ Guarantee provided by the French Development Agency (AFD) and also carrying out the Independent Development Evaluation (IDEV) Stakeholders survey to around 3000 stakeholders, by the AfDB, which aims to evaluate the views of internal and external stakeholders of the Bank in view of developing the future strategy of IDEV from 2018. In the education sector, Tata has carried out evaluations and studies with clients such as DFID for Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education Innovation and Research (SPHEIR), World bank Centres of excellence projects and African Institute of Mathematical Sciences (AIMS)
Previously, Tata was projects and business development manager for the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Cameroon, in charge of developing and managing projects in domains of health, renewable energy, IT, rural development and capacity building. His was both lead and line manager depending on the project, negotiating with diverse complex government and private stakeholders and coordinating the implementation and evaluation of these projects.
He has good qualitative and quantitative skills and familiar with methodologies such as interviews, surveys, benchmarks, and case studies. Tata holds a Master’s degree in International Relations specialising in International cooperation and sustainable Development from the Ca Foscari University of Venise, Italy and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the National Institute of Business Management, Chennai, India. He is fluent in English and French.
