Owen Mc Colgan is a consultant for the Brussels Office of Technopolis Group. He is keen to professionalise himself in the analysis and evaluation of public policies implemented at each decision-making level (IOs, EU, State and local authorities). He has developed professional experience in the world of IT in his previous roles at Prudential Financial and ERNACT. At Prudential Financial in Ireland, he was part of the Internal Solution Group team and worked collaboratively with a diverse and experienced IT team using the Agile framework on developing IT solutions to improve the company’s business processes, he was accountable as a project leader in the development and implementation of complex webpages for the company’s internal operations (Intranet) and also developed and presented company social media performance reports. At ERNACT in Ireland, he was responsible for researching and piloting use of 3D printer techniques to create models/maps suitable for illustrating particular geographic innovation ecosystems in Europe and North America and collaborated with experienced co-workers on the requirements and design of the model

He is constantly willing to deepen a dual expertise in quantitative et qualitative research methods. His studies in Ireland have introduced him to counterfactual evaluations and a great range of analytical skills. He has completed a master’s degree in Applied Economics from University College Dublin in Ireland and holds a bachelor’s degree in Math and Economics from the same university. He works in English, and tries to keep his honours level French and Irish alive from secondary school.
