Ivette Oomens MSc joined Technopolis Group Amsterdam in 2016. As a consultant, she works on projects around digitalisation, innovation strategy and policy. She has experience with evaluations, impact assessments and strategy support in particular and is familiar with a large number of research methods, including desk study, interviews, surveys, case studies and workshops.
Recently, Ivette has been involved in several monitoring and evaluation studies (e.g. the evaluation of the Common Support Centre for Horizon 2020), impact assessments (e.g. the impact assessment of the Einstein Telescope) and has provided strategy support to several organisations, for example to the Dutch national research organisation (NWO) and the Suriname Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism. Currently, she is project leader of a study on the added value of the National High-Performance Computing Service in Ireland.
Prior to joining Technopolis Group, Ivette worked as a trainee at the European Commission DG CONNECT in Brussels, with a focus on broadband and the socio-economic benefits of high-speed internet. She studied a Bachelor Psychology at Maastricht University and a Master Innovation Sciences at Eindhoven Technical University, with a focus on globalisation and ICT. This included a semester at Edinburgh Napier University and an internship at Technopolis Group Amsterdam.
Ivette’s native language is Dutch and she is fluent in English.
