Tobias Dudenbostel

Tobias holds a master’s degree in History, Philosophy and Sociology of Science. Since joining Technopolis, he has developed expertise in higher education policy, research policy and research management. He has also gained insights into the topics of innovation policy and information and communication technologies (ICT) and contributed to evaluations and case studies in the fields of his interests. Furthermore, he has profound knowledge of quantitative and qualitative social research methods.

Tobias worked on several projects for the European Commission. He acquired a detailed overview of the Austrian and Swiss research and higher education landscapes in the social sciences and humanities and was involved in studies about the Austrian research landscape in general. Additionally, he participated in projects for the DFG and the German Ministry of Economics and Technology.

Before joining Technopolis, Tobias worked in several Institutes of Advanced Studies in Germany and Austria as well as in the Mendel Museum Brno (CZ), where he put together an exhibition about Mendel’s life, science and beliefs. In his studies at the University of Bielefeld and the University of Vienna he focussed on the sociology and history of science. His master thesis dealt with medical dissertations written at the University of Vienna during National Socialism. Tobias is native a German speaker fluent in English and has a basic understanding of Czech.
