Kincsö Izsak

Kincsö is specialised in innovation policy and cluster development. She has 10 years of experience in managing innovation policy related projects. At Technopolis she has been coordinating the INNO Policy TrendChart integration contract, a policy monitoring of innovation policy developments in 48 countries. She has been the main author of several innovation policy trend reports such as ‘Funding innovation in the EU and beyond’, a publication on ‘Catalysing Innovation in the Knowledge Triangle: Practices from the EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities’ and she prepared an analysis on ‘Regionalisation of research and innovation policies in Europe’ for the Norwegian Regional Research Fund.
Previously, Kincsö worked for three years as a policy officer at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry in the Unit ‘Support for Industrial Innovation’, where she was responsible for EU initiatives in the field of clusters and cluster policies, such as the European Cluster Excellence Initiative, the European Cluster Observatory or providing support to the high-level European Cluster Policy Group. Prior to that, Kincsö was a project manager and later on the Brussels representative of the Eszak-Alfold region at the Eszak-alfold Regional Development Agency in Hungary in charge of inter-regional, research and innovation policy related projects and programmes. She gained a diploma as a certified economist, has a master’s degree in international business and currently, is also working on her PhD at the University of Debrecen in the Doctorate School of Geographical Sciences.
A native Hungarian speaker, Kincsö is fluent in English and German and speaks French and Spanish.
