Carolina Spaini is a consultant based in the Brussels office of Technopolis Group. She has strong skills in statistics, quantitative economics and econometrics. She has also experience in management of statistical databases, collection and analysis of data and she developed a recent interest in social network analysis and data visualization tools.
Recently Carolina was involved in the project of ex-post evaluation and impact assessment of the IPRED directive and in the collection and analysis of private R&D investment and patent data in different sectors, thematic areas and societal challenges.
Prior to joining Technopolis Group, Carolina worked as Junior Analyst at The Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) in Brussels, gaining experience in corporate governance, investment and shareholder issues.
Carolina obtained her undergraduate diploma in Statistics, Economics and Social Sciences from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, in Italy. She obtained a Master of Research in Statistics and Economics from the European Center for Advanced Research in Economics and Statistics (ECARES) of the Université libre de Bruxelles, in Belgium.
She is fluent in English and Italian, has good knowledge of French and basic knowledge of Spanish.
