Carolina Spaini is a consultant based in the Brussels office of Technopolis Group. She has strong skills in statistics, quantitative economics and econometrics. She has also experience in management of statistical databases, collection and analysis of data and she developed a recent interest in social network analysis and data visualisation tools.
Recently, Carolina was involved in the econometric analysis and creation of input-output indicators for the study on potential of servitisation (DG GROW); in the data analysis for the study to monitor the economic development of the collaborative economy in the EU (DG GROW) and in the 2017 Eco-Innovation Observatory country report for Italy (DG ENV). Carolina participated in the data collection and analysis concerning mobility patterns and career paths of researchers (MORE3) (DG RTD), in the survey analysis and construction of indicators for the project monitoring the evolution of benefits of Responsible Research and Innovation (MORRI) (DG RTD), in the development of descriptive statistics and econometric model for the Business Innovation Observatory – Phase 2 (BIO+) (DG GROW) and in the study supporting the Fitness Check on the most relevant chemicals legislation (DG ENV).
Carolina obtained her undergraduate diploma in Statistics, Economics and Social Sciences from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. She obtained a Master of Research in Statistics and Economics from the European Center for Advanced Research in Economics and Statistics (ECARES) of the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB).
She is fluent in English and Italian, has good knowledge of French and basic knowledge of Spanish.
