Bettina is a senior consultant in the Netherlands office of Technopolis Group. She has been involved in research projects focusing on topics in entrepreneurship and firm dynamics. She has investigated innovation activities of start-ups, knowledge and technology transfer from universities to the private sector, academic spin-offs, and the impact of entrepreneurs‘ human capital on the performance of their companies. She has extensive experience and knowledge in quantitative research methods (cross-sectional and panel econometrics) as well as in survey design and data preparation of large scale data sets.
Before joining Technopolis Group, Bettina worked at the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim, Germany. Bettina graduated with a master’s degree in economics (Diplom-Volkswirt) from the University of Konstanz, Germany, and holds a PhD in economics from the University of Konstanz, Germany.
Bettina is a native German speaker and fluent in English and Dutch.
