The Technopolis Group opened the office in Germany in 2009.
The team have a diverse professional background. Dr. Daniel Schütze and Dr. Patries Boekholt are the heads of the German office. Thomas Heimer, the scientific head of Technopolis Germany, is a professor for innovation management. Thomas Fischer's background is in the field of health care. Their expertise spans a broad arena of topics, including cluster development, financing innovations, innovations in SME and technology development as well as the evaluation and development of health services, adaptation to an ageing demographic and patient level outcome evaluation.
Located in Frankfurt am Main, the office is at the heart of one of Germany's thriving economic hotspots and within comfortable travelling distance to the federal government in Berlin and Bonn as well as to state governments and government agencies across Germany.
Prior to opening the office in Frankfurt am Main, Technopolis has been active in the country for more than 10 years. Technopolis consultants from Austria, The Netherlands and The United Kingdom have worked in Germany for federal and regional government organisations.
Clients include the Federal Ministry for Education and Science (BMBF), the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWI), the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), The Alexander von Humboldt-Foundation and the regions of Berlin, Brandenburg, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt.
