The Swedish company was founded in 1992 and joined the Technopolis Group in 2004, after several years of project-level co-operation. The company is a fully owned subsidiary of the Technopolis Group, but still trades under its well-established Swedish name Faugert & Co Utvärdering AB. The office is located in central Stockholm.

The Swedish company develops knowledge relevant to society’s capabilities to resolve major future-related issues. Our role is to provide foundations for evidence-based policy development and informed decision-making. We evaluate, analyse and act as advisors in the knowledge triangle, meaning research, education and innovation.

In particular, the Swedish team has a long and solid track record in studies of higher education institutions – as both objects of study and clients – and in studies of industry-university collaborative research. In the latter case, the team has built up a most impressive track record in studies of sustainable energy, in terms of both renewable energy generation and energy efficiency, in traditionally strong Swedish industry sectors, such as manufacturing and raw materials based industries, and in transportation and life sciences. We believe that our competitiveness lies in our methodological skills in combination with our domain expertise in a range of sectors and industries.

Our ambition is that our clients should continue to regard us as

  • Delivering high-quality services
  • Providing valuable opportunities for learning
  • The obvious supplier for difficult and challenging tasks
  • Giving excellent value for money

Our clients are Swedish government agencies, universities, research institutes, industry associations with a stake in influencing policy-setting in the knowledge triangle, and some private companies. Approximately one third of our turnover comes from exports, mainly with government agencies in other Nordic countries, inter-governmental Nordic organisations and the European Commission as clients.

Tomas Åström leads the Swedish team, which is notable for its high educational qualifications and an impressive track record in all aspects of the knowledge triangle.
