Impact European Framework Programmes in the Netherlands
In 2009 Technopolis Group The Netherlands conducted an impact assessment of Dutch participation in the European Framework Programmes (FPs) for Research and Technological Development. The study is commissioned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Welfare and the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality. The study looks at the added value of the successive Framework Programmes for research and industry in the Netherlands, the synergy between national policies and EU policies and the functioning of the Dutch EU-support structures.
Four specific thematic areas are highlighted, in which Dutch actors play a significant role in European research programmes. These areas are:
- Life Sciences and Health
- Information and Communication Technology
- Food Quality and Safety
- Sustainable Energy
The study resulted in three reports (in Dutch) which can be downloaded here:
1. Synthesis Report
2. Report on four Thematic Areas
